FINNEX AI operates on a token-based billing model, utilising a credit system to manage AI service consumption. This section explains how the billing system works, how to purchase and manage credits, and how to track usage via the dashboard.

Token-Based Usage and Billing

FINNEX AI employs a token-based model for its AI services, following industry standards. Each API request consumes tokens, which represent units of text, including input, context, and output tokens. We will count the total number of tokens consumed during each API call to calculate your usage.

What are Tokens?

Tokens are units of text used in AI interactions. Each request to the AI (including your input, system context, and AI output) consumes tokens.

  • Average usage:

    • 1 English word ≈ 1.3 tokens

    • 100 tokens ≈ 75 English words

FINNEX Credits

Purchasing Credits

Credits are used to pay for tokens. Each 1 FINNEX credit = 1,000 tokens.

  1. Go to Top-Up Page:
    Navigate to the Account section and click the Top-Up Credits button.

  2. Select a Credit Package:
    Choose the amount that suits your needs. Payments are securely processed via Stripe.

  3. Complete Payment:
    Enter your billing details to complete the purchase. Credits are applied instantly once payment is confirmed.

Managing Credits

You can track and manage your credits through your FINNEX AI dashboard.

🔍 View Credit Balance

  • See your Total Credits, Credits Used, and Remaining Credits on the dashboard.

  • Credit expiration and top-up history are also shown.

📈 Monitor Usage

  • View daily token usage as a percentage and visual graph.

  • Use the Monthly Usage dropdown to explore the past 12 months of activity.

Billing Summary

Manage your payment method, view past invoices, and update billing information from the Billing Portal in your account settings.
